SUANOVEN 150
Composition
Each 100 grams of SUANOVEN 150 contains Spiramycin (as adipate) at a concentration of 150 million international units (MIU).
Properties
Spiramycin is a macrolide antibiotic with bactericidal activity at therapeutic levels. It is well absorbed, concentrates in tissues like the lungs and ovaries, and accumulates in macrophages. Its half-life is 6.2–7.7 hours and its pharmacologic effect outlasts other macrolides. Spiramycin is mainly excreted via bile and urine, inhibits protein synthesis, and is used to treat Mycoplasma and Clostridium perfringens infections in poultry.
Indications
SUANOVEN 150 is indicated for the treatment of chronic respiratory disease (Mycoplasma gallisepticum), infectious synovitis (Mycoplasma synoviae), arthritis, and infectious sinusitis (Mycoplasma meleagridis) in poultry.
Dosage & Administration
For Poultry and Turkeys:
Administer 60,000 IU/kg body weight (equivalent to 40 g per 100 liters of drinking water) as follows:
Contraindications
SUANOVEN 150 is contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity to spiramycin or other macrolide antibiotics.
Withdrawal Period
A withdrawal period of 21 days must be observed.
Storage Conditions
Store below 30°C in a dry environment. Once opened, SUANOVEN 150 should be used within 50 days if stored appropriately. Use immediately after reconstitution.
